Description: The each-uisge is a nightmarish demon from Scottish folklore. This bewitching creature disguises itself variously as a bird or handsome youth, though its main incarnation is as a magnificent horse with a mane of seaweed. Those who wish to possess it may be amazed by its willingness to let them ride it, at which point they find themselves bound to its back as if by glue. Prevented from escaping, they are dragged underneath the waters of a nearby loch and promptly devoured. The each-uisge isn’t a fussy eater and gorges itself, but pate clearly isn’t its thing, as the uneaten liver floats to the surface as the sole trace of its victim.
